The popular Saja Nero now comes in a sample size. The Merola Tile Saja Nero Ceramic Floor and Wall Tile - 3 in. x 4 in. Tile Sample is inspired directly by a series of oxidized metallic molds that were originally used to shape ceiling plaster moldings. Named after the Saja River in Spain, this tile features a black glaze that has a weathered, worn look reminiscent of tin ceiling tiles. These rustic scuffs and spots convince that this tile is truly aged. The centering raised floral design offers a dimensional, eye-catching look. Despite its high durability rating, these matte tiles could wear irregularly on a high-traffic floor due to the variation in height. We have some thinking to do. Pros; we loved the pattern, we loved the color Cons; hated that it was distressed. We’re going to look further because we do not like the distressed look but might come back to it because we do like the pattern and color

I've only received a small sample so far but based upon it I will be ordering this tile for my fi...I've only received a small sample so far but based upon it I will be ordering this tile for my fireplace surround renovation. I love the heft of the tile, the texture and the color (saja nero is sort of an antique dark greenish blue with rusty accents). It's has a rustic and masculine appearance, yet is pretty and feminine at the same time. I've used Merola tile before and it's always the best value for quality, stylish tile that usually costs a lot more.

I purchased this tile as a sample to see how it would coordinate with my floor tile to use as my ...I purchased this tile as a sample to see how it would coordinate with my floor tile to use as my bathtub surround. It is a gorgeous old-world looking tile with beautiful workmanship and lovely embossing, and is distressed just right to give an authentic vintage look. I'm going with a smaller lightweight tile for my bath surround, but am still trying to figure out how to incorporate this beautiful tile into my old-world European bathroom design. I plan on using it somewhere in my remodel. The only reason I didn't chose this tile is because it was a little to big and may have overpowered my floor, as my bathroom on the smaller size.

Ordered a sample of this tile recently. Delivered in...Ordered a sample of this tile recently. Delivered in good shape, and it was a good representative sample. Online pics look great, and it still looks good in person. I ended up deciding against it, because there were visible pixels of some kind of milky glaze on the surface, which for me ruined it.
