Tapping Block - Product information
Install your new vinyl flooring with precision while protecting the flooring from damage. Helpful tapping block protects the tongue or edge of the plank during installation so you can achieve a tight seam between planks. Once you have engaged a row of planks with another row, complete the installation by tapping the long groove with the Tapping Block until the rows are completely tight.
- Use to gently tap tongue-and-groove planks together
- 100% durable Polyamide body
- For use with a soft-faced hammer

Pricey for a piece of hard plastic, but a must to instal these tongue and groove vinyl tiles. I'm glad I ordered it along with the Allure Ultra. If you are contemplating spending the extra $10 bucks, I'll tell you to go ahead as it will save your life later during the install and trust me: you need to tap those tiles a little hard and not damage their edges.

Tool you definely need for DIY Allure Untra floor installationIts a bit pricey, but a necessary tool for the TrafficMASTER Allure Ultra floor installation. You need to connect the planks to each other and they can slip slightly as you go down the room laying them. This tool has a custom facing which lets you tap the planks back into each other. Without this tool you are likely to smash and distort the grooves as you tap them with a mallet or block of wood. It can be tiring to go down the room laying planks and this tool assures you don't get too sloppy. I don't know why TrafficMASTER just doesn't provide the tool with an order of planks? In any case, if you are doing the floor its cheap insurance for a job done right

This is a " Must Have " tool for installationI purchased this tool online. Quick delivery, designed to fit Allure and Lifeproof products. It made the install easy but the tool cracked towards the end of our installation and had to manually complete the floor.

Well worth purchasingI have almost completed 900 sq.ft of laminate flooring. In the past I have struggled with a block of wood. This block made the job simple and no planks were damaged. well worth the price.

Necessary ItemIf you are installing vinyl blank flooring this block is a necessity. It protects the edge while you are tapping the edges to tighten up your floor. I think it should be sold right next to the flooring in store instead of having to order it separately online.

You need this.I don't usually do reviews, but I decided to do one on this tool to help others. I can't imagine doing the job without this tool. You need this to eliminate the gaps for a tight and professional finish. I had first hesitated spending the extra $10 bucks to get this, but glad I eventually bought it. It is designed specifically so that when you tap on it the edge of the plank does not get damaged. Even if you are doing just one small room, get this and get it done right. Notice my white tapping block on the top right of the attached pic. I am an IT guy and not well versed in home improvement. But with the Allure Ultra and this wonderful little tool I am ready to tackle the other two bedrooms as soon as HD has another good deal on this flooring.
