Consisting of 64% recycled materials, VentiLayer Underlayment features a durable, flexible 3D matrix that elevates the pad and promotes proper ventilation to concrete subfloors to evaporate water vapor instead of trapping it. The attached vapor barrier protects the overlying flooring while the fibers and matrix beneath manage moisture, allowing the concrete to breathe. This should be the generic default underlayment for all floors.
It provides just enough space for ventilation, the perfect solution for wooden or laminate flooring, instead of the plastic foil in various structures being sold as underlayment.
Get this, use it with peace of mind and enjoy zero problems arising from condensation and associated with vapor barriers.
It is just mind boggling why it is not everywhere in every store. Contrary to what you might expect there is not much "springiness" the product is hard and provides enough support so that it doesn't squish over the area of a 10 shoe at 250lbs. This feature was really important to me, because I planned on using it with laminate and needed to secure almost zero vertical movement, that's anther reason why I didn't want to use standard undelayments, apart from the vapor barrier issue that creates mold and mildew. This product is the new standard.

This was a little different than what I expected from the picture. The underlayment was used over...This was a little different than what I expected from the picture. The underlayment was used over a concrete floor in a basement and seems to be good for the area we are using it so far. I was wanting it mostly for the moisture protection so only time will really tell with that part. This comes in a large 100 square foot roll that has a thin layer of mesh like material which is the part I wasn't really expecting. This may help a bit with the moisture protection though. Installing and cutting this was pretty easy so overall this underlayment seems to be a good fit for the area.

Basement Floor Underlayment for Extreme Moisture Protection is a great product, we used this in our basement, we put floating click together laminate on top of it. The floors feel really nice and solid. It's also nice knowing that this underlayment deters mold and blocks moisture to keep your floors protected. Great product.

This underlayment is good for basement. It is come with my another underlayment product for my At...This underlayment is good for basement. It is come with my another underlayment product for my Attic. The product is light weight and has feature for sound and moisture production. The only concern with this product the uniform leveling and strong subfloor. The beauty of this product installation is easy to install and light weight. This is one of my DIY project.

This is not the solid rubber underlayment that is used for vapor barriers. This is a thick breat...This is not the solid rubber underlayment that is used for vapor barriers. This is a thick breathable layer. It will help cushion a floating floor in a basement. The little extra cushion makes it easier on one's feet as opposed to walking on hard concrete. It is easy to work with. I like the recycled material content. The honeycomb mesh is barely noticeable.
